What are REITs? REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) own income-producing real estate. By law, they must pay out at least 90% of taxable income as dividends — making them some of the highest-yielding stocks available. They're split into types: Office, Retail, Industrial, Residential, Healthcare, Data Centers, and more. REITs are sensitive to interest rates — they tend to underperform when rates rise and outperform when rates fall.
